Had a couple of my best friends over the other night. These are women I have known since I was in elementary school. Yes, that was a long time ago. One flew in from Washington DC and the other still lives in the small town where we grew up, Chandler, OK. There's nothing like people you've known your whole life. Can't even pretend to be somebody you're not, because they know better. I am truly blessed to have a group of friends that I've known that long. This is the group of people that I can always count on. We all know we are blessed and try to get together as often as possible.
On to the reason for my blog. I had samples from several companies, Fruits and Passion, JR Watkins, Daub and Bauble, Van Yulay, and we sat down to try these products and decide which ones we should sell in our store. Problem is, we liked them all.
Fruits and Passion has a nice gourmet kitchen line, Cucina. They have ceramic and glass bottles with lotion and soaps for the kitchen which are very nice, higher end and of course, smell great.
JR Watkins has been around since 1868; nestled in the Mississippi River Bluff town of Winona, MN., Watkins has been America's pioneer in natural living since 1868. We like that they've been around so long, they are in Minnesota, (where my husband is from and where all our children, grandchildren and most of his family still live) and they have several product that are certified by the Natural Products Association. We love the lavender and vanilla lotions.
Daub & Bauble, another product made by a Minnesota company, is just cool. Cool packaging, cool scents and cool products.
Van Yulay, a company from North Carolina has some nice personal care products, a lot made with Emu Oil. I have some issues with their packaging and labeling, but they are small and they hand make the products and hand label the packaging. Gotta love that.
Watch for some individual postings about some of these products and which ones we decided to put in our store and on our website. More to be revealed as soon as I get a new keyboard.
