The Miele Earth® vacuum respects our precious planet from the first step of the manufacturing process through the duration of its life. Manufacturing methods and attention to detail ensure that each Miele vacuum leaving the factory has been tested to last 20 years, based on an average use of 45 minutes per week at maximum output. Only virgin, high-quality polymers are used to make Miele vacuum cleaners and are marked for easy recycling. Due to a highly advanced injection molding process, there is minimal scrap in production from the punching processes, therefore significantly reducing waste. The packaging for the S5 series vacuum cleaners comprises more than 80% recycled paper and is specially designed to keep the vacuum safe during transport, while remaining true to Miele's environmental protection standards.
Miele’s S5 Earth® vacuum has been proven cleaner for indoor air as all fine dust and allergens are trapped in its unique Sealed System™ featuring a certified HEPA filter and unique AirClean FilterBag. Miele’s revolutionary FilterBag consists of multi-ply, random-spun filter material and protective netting to reinforce the outer layer in order to ensure that dust and debris stays in the bag.
